participants attend both days of training
morning session for grades 3-5,
afternoon session for grades 6-12

Space is Limited • Register Early 

The Core Task Project (CTP) is a professional learning model that challenges assumptions and addresses the English Language Arts “instructional shifts.” The CTP includes voices from the CCSSO, the NGA, and the standards authors through print material, video content, and podcasts. It draws educators’ attention to the four Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium claims. In doing so, teachers and governance have a stronger sense of what needs to shift in order to prepare students for College and Career Readiness.

All the materials have been well vetted in Nevada’s 2nd largest school district—Washoe County. The work has been endorsed by authors of the CCSS and is linked from their website http://www.achievethecore.org. It was also linked in the December/January edition of Educational Leadership.

Cost: $100 per participant for both days, $250 for teams of three
